Enchantments, and bear in mind this definition is from my limited understanding, are a way to impose one’s will on the universe. I suppose that sounds a tad diabolical. Put another way, enchantments create favorable conditions for getting what you want out of life. So, if my will is to achieve financial security, performing an enchantment to that effect increases the likelihood that I will be successful in that endeavor. Assuming that magick works.
The real problem with enchanting is that I often don’t know what I want, or more importantly, what I need. I suspect this is a problem for most people. Knowing one’s will seems a logical first step. For this reason, my first enchantments will be simple.
I plan to use the sigil method to perform my enchantments. This is done by creating a linguistic statement of one’s will and using the letters to create a symbol or sigil. The sigil is held in the mind and mentally projected outward in a state of no-mind or gnosis, as it is often called. I will keep a record here of all of the enchantments I perform, along with any results.
